MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Design is a vessel for change and improvement. It gets me excited about the potential of the future. I believe in a sustainable approach where design considers the entire life cycle of a product including the materials used to make it, the manufacturing process, distribution, and disposal. I believe that the future of design lies in reusing materials from past products as raw material for new ones.

GROWING UP

Exposing me to the arts was very important to my parents. I danced as soon as I could walk. I took art classes as soon as I could hold a pencil. I love watching plays and singing along to musicals. My favorite pastime as a child was dressing up: pink tutu, princess gown, wedding dress, bee leotard. I was rarely in real clothes. After experimenting with numerous forms of creative expression, I found my niche in design.
